Southend Airport Terminal Modernisation Underway
The new terminal should be complete by 2007-08. Together with the new railway station it will enable the airport to fulfil its role in maintaining prosperity in the East of England and at the same time create new jobs and new business opportunities.
It will give both business and leisure passengers the opportunity to fly to destinations in Europe without having to travel long distances on congested roads to other airports in the southeast.
